Transparency note: In keeping with Colibri Hero, they tried to ascertain a
enterprise relationship with eyeo, an organization that I
co-founded. I haven’t been in an lively position at eyeo since 2018,
and that i left the company completely in 2021.
Colibri Hero was only founded in 2021. My investigation here was prompted by a blog comment.
We want to create a world the place organizations can make a
constructive influence on folks and communities.
One of the company’s merchandise is the refoorest browser extension, promising to make a positive
impression on the local weather by planting bushes. Better of it: this prices customers
nothing whatsoever. So the users merely need to have the extension put in, indicating that they need to make a optimistic impact.
And since the concept was so successful, Colibri Hero just lately turned it into an SDK referred to
as Impact Bro, in order that it might be added to different browser extensions.
What the company carefully avoids mentioning: its 56,000 "partners" aren’t truly
conscious that they are financing tree planting.
